ANYBODY KNOW ANYONE AT FT. HOOD? FREEPMAIL ME IF YOU DO OR IF YOU COULD CONTACT THEM YOURSELF.
WE NEED UNIFORMS!
I was told that service men and women are not allowed to attend these things in uniform, That's what the officer at Ft Hood told me when I called them about last week's event.
You need what kind of uniforms? Do you intend to dress people not/never in the service in uniforms?
In any case, I have a 1970's, Class A, Army coat and pants, no shirt, tie, belt, or shoes. It is a size 43R with 32 pants, both of which have shrunk several sizes while hanging in a cedar closet for 30 years!
As soon as I posted it occurred to me you may mean people on active duty, in uniform. If so you need to understand that there are severe restrictions on what one can do while in uniform, I suspect this would be a bad idea for them.
My husband can't get out of his vehicle to pump gas or run into a convenience store for a soda in his uniform. I seriously doubt anyone in the military would break this rule, especially for a televised support rally.
They could show up wearing shorts and t-shirts, however.
I am actually at Fort Hood with my husband, he is in the Army. I mentioned to him gettting some troops to go out to Crawford, and he told me they can't. While on active duty, soldiers are not allowed to participate in any kind of protest, no matter if it is in support of them or not.
But I will be there!!!!
