If you were ever really capable of rational thought, which you are not, the spectre of being the only impeached elected President should disturb you very much. Maybe the fact that it does could indicate that you still have a conscience....but I doubt it.

Clinton is one of the biggest stains on American history. The kind of stain which cannot be removed.

Had it not been for the 17th Amendment to the Constitution the outcome of this and the previous impeachment of Andrew Johnson would have been much different. I just wonder how these Senators would have voted if they knew that their House members would control their re-election.

Generally speaking the senatorial 'add-on' to the Constitution compromise as research generally demonstrates is the only major, and I repeat major flaw of the document according to some - and I'm in that camp.  It conflicts severely with the Electoral College principle.

Now there will always be crappy politicians - but names like Clinton, Durban, Kennedy, Byrd, Reid, Levin, Leahy, McPain, Spector, there is just too many to mention.  We could get to 90% in the blink of an eye.

What happens today in the senate is not what the founding fathers intended, IMHO.

But then again it appears Roberts is going to sail through the confirmation which negates my claim.  Looking at our political leadership these days it is not difficult to prove that evolution is a fact.

DUmming down of a civilization will ensure its demise.
