Count your blessing Xena.

I was tossed over the top and fractured L-4 and L-5 but luckily healed naturally with much pain after choosing not to have surgery.

I was riding on a beach with boulders and the gal riding with me said I did a good tuck and roll when hitting land.

I still don't know how I got ahead of the horse as when I looked up his hooves were going over the top of me.

I new I was hurt but I had to get up and ride back so I could pick my Quadroplegic Teen (at the time teen) up from H.S. Had staff from the school go over to the hosp. with us directly after.

The ER doc said the only reason he signed a release and did not admit me was he too was a father of a severly disabled child whom he was raising on his own because his wife bailed.

I was very fortunate.
Lord have Mercy was I fortunate.

An optimist still feels lucky when she's just fallen off a horse!
