"Moderate Muslims" is an oxymoron.
Either they are Muslims - and follow Islam and their book, which says "kill the infidels" (a.K.a. all non-Muslims), or they are not.

I think that the Muslims that are doing the fighting, bombing, etc are the actual true believers of their book. The ones that aren't out pushing jihad are not true believers as they aren't following the teaching of their religion.
