My personal bear repellent would be of the high caliber, lead variety.

Jeez, people think grizzly bears are cute cuddly disney-type bears..until they start eating them for lunch anyway.

There was a funny thread on the best handgun to defend yourself against bears. I think the winner was the guy that recommended a well-placed .22 shot, aimed at the knee of the next guy.
