As I peruse the Women’s magazines at the grocery check out, I can’t help but notice they all feature skinny female models – and the headline articles are about quick weight loss. For some reason they want to put forth the proposition that thin appeals to men.
Now look at the average Men’s magazine – be it a sport's, mechanic’s, home improvement or a “skin” mag. All of the women featured actually have hips and breasts! I have yet to see a skinny model in any of them.

A female friend of mine once remarked, while looking through my Playboys, that the women in there looked more like "real" women than the models in women's magazines.

I pointed out to her that women's magazines and women's fashion have nothing to do with what straight men like. If she wanted to figure out what men liked, in terms of looks and clothes, check out Playboy, not Glamour.
