Cambridge is a city ... Newton is an exclusive white suburb.

This is part of Newton (Newton Corner):

The skyline is Boston downtown. Green area in front part of Newton and Boston (Brighton). To left (outside of photo) is Watertown the city with large number of Armenians (churches, museums etc ...). Cambridge is to forward left (also outside of photo).

This is Newton Highlands

Newton has many parks and nature preserves, see the bird in the center of photo:

That first picure is "Newton Corner" with the largest building being the hotel.

I grew up in Watertown so thanks for the geographical information but I could navigate the area in my sleep.

There is no doubt that Newton borders Brighton but it is not really a "city" in the colloquial sense. Cambridge is a city. Newton has no business on a list of liberal cities.
