Point well-taken. No disrespect intended to the Spanish military.
Now is Spain going to withdraw all their troops from Afghanistan?
I never liked flying on a helicopter.
The airframe is under constant torque.
Everything spins in circles.
There is a lot of vibration.
It's an unstable platform that wants to crash.
Aerodynamically there are some weird aspects to a helicopter. The faster he goes the less lift he'll get on the receding blade....etc.
Im no engineer, but those dont seem like good things.
Though I know they can auto-rotate and land, I don't completely buy it in many situations.
Just think of this. Your whole life depends on one bolt on top of a rotor system.

Commies are already asking for that but it doesn't seem that the rest of the country is on that track...
That's surprising. I thought the Spanish do not have any stomach for casualties.
Damn!
Does anyone have stomach for casualties? just when the situation forces you I guess...
I suppose the point here is that if anyone thought there were reasons to to pull our troops off Afganistan they have had time enough before this accident to claim for that. Doing it now seems little more that plain opportunism...
