The best strategy for the US and Britain, Japan, etc., is to invest heavily in on ground intelligence gathering, infiltration, and 'covert' elimination of 'individual' problems. Works wonders without bombing the hell out of some city / civilians."

I agree with your thinking. War by proxy and detonating suitcase nukes were a real strategy by the Soviets. Our CIA was top-notch during the Cold-War era and we have to go back what worked and didn't work. The Iranian islamic revolution has got to go however. It is the last great battle of this decade and we cannot ignore it.

Agree 100% as well of the second part of the comment.

I have been stating for years, the quickest method to bring down the mullah controlled régime in Iran is via an oil/natural gas embargo/blockade preventing any Iranian supertankers in nor out of the Persian Gulf.

Just yesterday I issued my two cents worth on another thread. See below:

"My overview is there are two main branch sources of major funding for Islamic Terrorism Inc. #1 Iran (Shi'ite - Extreme 'Mahadism')& #2 worth far more, Saudi Arabia (Sunni-Wahabbism)"

"Both only have one source of revenue, their crude oil exports."

"Arabia is OPEC's leading exporter, followed by Iran."

"The problem is gaining sufficient support on an allied front to initially blockade all Iranian energy products from departing through Strait's of Hormuz, out into the Arabian Sea & then the Indian Ocean onward to 'customers'."

"The 'customers' of Iranian based energy are the problem is gathering a unified anti-mullah front utilizing allied navies and air forces (just in case) the Iranian's attempt to run the blockade or attack navy ships enforcing the Iranian supertanker & also arms shipments blockade, either entering or exiting the Persian Gulf."

"As with Hitler in 1939, will it take another 'invasion of Poland' dilemma, (in this case Iran secures offensive nukes) before America, England & allies take the necessary steps to bring down the mullah controlled Iranian dictatorship?"

"Any unified actions against the Iranian clerical régime must be completed prior to the onset of the up coming winter season in order to lessen the very real potential for additional massive spikes in the cost of traded energy contracts, since disruptions of Iranian crude oil & natural gas will only triggering another dangerous round of energy complex trader panic being on the very bullish side from the already high cost of energy worldwide. It's either even higher energy prices for the sort term, or a pack of rabid junior Khomeini's with nuclear bombs."

"Israel shall not wait until another Holocaust against the Jewish citizens of Israel can be delivered from Iranian skies targeting Haifa, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Unless the 'rea;' Western allies act together, we may sink alone. Saudi Arabia's Sunni/Wahabbist leadership can be dealt with at a later date - if there exists any will to so stemming from global economic concerns." Source. additional comments, plus photos & maps
