Hi lady. You should have yelled out the window and waved when you passed through. Good to see you here.
Thank you!
'Sure was waving in my heart, thinking about all the freepers in all the states we passed though.
Had a really neat experience just outside of Columbus.
We were cruising down the interstate, when suddenly I turned to our daughter (who was driving) and said,
"Can you feel it?"
"Feel what?" she asked.
"'Not sure," I said, " but it just feels different."
Not 2 minutes later she sad. "LOOK!" and pointed off to the right.
There, not more than a few blocks off the highway, was the most tranquil picture I'd ever laid eyes on. Beautiful hillside farm scene, with a little dirt road and a horse and buggy rounding a corner, carrying a young Amish dad with his arm on the backboard behind his little son about Missy's age, wearing an exact miniature version of his father's clothes -- flat straw hat, brilliant blue short sleeved shirt and black suspender pants.
Of all the sights on that trip, that quick timeless glimpse is what I remember most. ":^)
And I remembered President Bush speaking with the Amish community and getting their support.
