Both she and Wilson said they expected they would get arrested Thursday. Cindy said, "I think we need as many people here on Thursday anyway, because Rice and Rumsfeld will be here....I'd rather not get arrested, but I'm willing to, I'm willing to have them pick me up and carry me away."

I would not blast a woman for grieving for a lost son, however, and I think many have lost the point that this Sheehan woman has chosen to grieve in public in the form of a protest, and is therefore open to criticism. Personally, I chose to ignore her entirely. With her insant rants (becoming more outlandish by the day) about taxes, Israel, etc, etc....she is undermining herself and her cause. Once she is no longer useful to the left, she will be dropped. I watched Hardball last night and I give Chris Matthews credit for pressing her (albeit with kid gloves) with questions. I specifically liked the one about whether or not Mrs. Sheehan would have felt differently if her son had died in Afghanistan, fighting the Taliban/Al Qaeda. When she said she would not, and that America was not justified in going after those who attacked us, I knew her time on the stage is VERY limited.
That was last Thursday, and she was (obviously) not arrested.
