Yes, they were the 'useful idiots' just as they were in October 1917, 1968, and today. I lack the context of the time, so they are all just old hippies to me.
I guess my point is that they are the very same idiots. They've always hated America because of their own personal problems with their daddy, or God. The WWII generation gave them everything and they didn't like it....
Their own personal pathologies make them soldiers for those who would destroy us.

Magnify a hundred fold what you see here, and imagine back then. They where creeping all over campuses, fueling the minds of students etc.. What you wrote is right on the money. I am glad your mind is clear on the issue. It is folks like you we will have to depend on as time goes by to carry on against so much wrong that is allowed in a free society.
So though they pester many of us, they at least have the perfect right to assemble and protest if done within the boundaries of the local, state, and federal laws. Sadly they do not have a clue it is giving aid to the enemy.
