Waves of new enforcement programs with names like Operation Community Shield, Operation Predator, and Operation Tarmac produced a record 161,676 deportations nationwide last year, a surge of 60 percent since 2000, and a similarly large increase also has occurred in New York City.

(It's a start...)
Most of the estimates I read suggest that we are adding, net of those who are caught and who vulnerably deport themselves, somewhere between 300,000 and 500,000 new illegals per year.
It took us a long time to get in this immigration mess and I am willing to allow the cure to proceed over a number of years too. But to achieve success we must reverse the flow. There has to be more leaving then coming.
