What is the truth about Cindy Sheehan?
Cindy Sheehan, demonstrator at the Bush ranch in Texas, has been hailed by the left as a woman on a mission. She is revered as holding a real vigil at the ranch to have questions answered. Though we know Ms. Sheehan is sad and mourns the loss of her son and we honor the work of her son, she is far from a typical mom in America. This is someone who is referred to as an earth mother and refuses to pay her federal taxes.
Sheehan, a lifelong Democrat, said that until her son died, she'd never spoken out about her views. She was too young during the Vietnam War - "I only saw it on the news and I thought it was horrible," she said. She didn't agree with the first Gulf War, but only talked about it with friends and classmates. As a child in Bellflower, Calif., about 20 miles south of Los Angeles, Sheehan was opinionated, but not outspoken, says her sister, Dede Miller. She was enrolled in programs for gifted students. She married her first serious boyfriend, Patrick, whom she met when she was 17. They soon had Casey, followed by Carly, Andy and Jane. "She was an earth mother, a very devoted mom," Miller said. (CNN report 8-15-2005)
In a Providence Journal article about an appearance by Sheehan at a Rhode Island church published July 27, 2005, reporter Elizabeth Gudrais wrote: For one thing, Sheehan said, she has stopped paying her taxes. "I didn't pay my taxes for 2004," she said. When a letter arrives declaring her payment delinquent, she said, "I'll say no - I don't owe you a penny. We'll see what they do to me." Last Friday, Sheehan gave a speech in Dallas, Tex., at the Veterans for Peace conference. According to a published transcript, Sheehan said the following: Another thing that Im doing is - my son was killed in 2004, so Im not paying my taxes for 2004. If I get a letter from the IRS, Im gonna say, you know what, this war is illegal; this is why this war is illegal. This war is immoral; this is why this war is immoral. You killed my son for this. I dont owe you anything. And if I live to be a million, I wont owe you a penny. And I want them to come after me, because unlike what youve been doing with the war resistance, I want to put this frickin war on trial. And I want to say, You give me my son, and Ill pay your taxes. (Free Republic 8-8-2005)
On the Sheehan website there is an open letter to President Bush, it says, George, it has been seven months today since your reckless and wanton foreign policies killed my son, my big boy, my hero, my best-friend: Casey. It has been seven months since your ignorant and arrogant lack of planning for the peace murdered my oldest child. It has been two days since your dishonest campaign stole another election but you all were way more subtle this time than in 2000, werent you? (open letter by Cindy Sheehan to President G.W. Bush)
So this woman who is touted as an average American mom is really a politically left wing activist. She is so far outside the norm for average Americans that it should not surprise anyone that she would be at the ranch. So instead of a glass of lemonade for Ms. Sheehan maybe it would be a good idea just to ignore this latest attempt to normalize this far left radical agenda.
The final word comes from Ms. Sheehans own website and is a quote from Ghandi. It says, "When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always." That is the first true and right thing she has said. Ms. Sheehan, the tyrant and murderer that was Saddam Hussein has fallen. Think of it!

IMHO, whay she is doing has been, and continues to be, exposed as a complete sham.
Although it is clear from her own words that she was anti-Bush and anti-war before the death of her son, after his death and after a compassionate meeting with our President, she was trained for several months by a far left PR firm. She is being supported and egged on by the most virulent anti-Ameircan and anti-Bush groups. After all of this, she comes out with her hate-filled story against the President, spouting all of the far left taking points, and using her grief as a tool of the far-left, anti-American crowd. It is a perversion and desecration of grief that should outrage all Americans.
This is a contrived, made for MSM, event, that the far left and their MSM abettors feel is unassailable becuase of the grieving mother image. Well, hainvg lost my own father last year, and a brother last year too (not in the war), and having lost an only uncle on my Mom's side (my grandparents only boy) in WW II...I can empathize with her grief...but when that grief is turned to hate America and a tool for those who wish to destroy our nation and life style...I will not, I cannot be quiet about it or buy-into that Cindy Sheehan is somehow unassailable while she spouts this hate and garbage.
It is despicable what is happening and it needs to be put down...or at the very least, stood up four-square to.
This lady has admitted to wanting to defy US law and drive her enlisted son to Canada to escape his orders. She has admitted to offering to drive over is legs with her automobile to help him avoid service. Her patriotic son refused both of her dish and voluntarily re-upped with the military to go to Iraq, then while there, volunteered for a dangerous combat mission to help his comrades. He was killed on that mission and is a hero. Pardon the expression, but she is tinkling on his grave and trying to tell us that the moisture are her tears. She says our President killed her son, that the war is only about oil, that it only about defending Israel, that our nation is not worth dieing for, that the US and our President are the terrorists for heaven's sake!
No, I will not be quiet and will call this exactly what I see that it is...a sham and a disgusting spectacle.
Sorry...I am very worked up about this.
Here's my open letter to Cindy Sheehan.
Isn't stalking illegal? (Not just a president, but anyone.)
Yes...and if she follows the President to Washington, someone should file a complaint.
this is the truth about this lady or one side of the story??
Nothing about outstanding tax liens from the late 90's or the first meeting with the President when she said he made her family whole again or her radical views and alliances with radical leftist groups???
Ok, I give up. What's an "earth mother"? Someone who craps dirt clods?
BARF!
PLEASE HELP. I am currently arguing with a liberal. When did she meet with the President?
Someone who takes cae of themselves instead of their family?
LOL! Quote of the day!
Who keeps re-setting this dingbats 15 minute clock?
YO! Cindy! your times up get over it, MOVE ON!
Stole the election?
BWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
Cindy! Youse are a fruitcake.
Remember to wash when you're done. ;^)
She and her co-conspirators put herself out there because they thought no one would dare question a "grieving mother." And it's true enough that a lot of people hesitated, and some even said, you can't say that, she's a grieving mother. Even on Free Republic. But finally the truth is coming out, a bit of it here and there. The left will drop her like a hot potato once she's thoroughly discredited.
June, 2004. The original account can be found here: http://www.thereporter.com/republished
More importantly, why are you arguing with a liberal? Isn't that sort of a waste of perfectly good oxygen?
UNFORGIVEABLE
Turning on the light will make the roaches run. The more press on Cindy the better.
You'd be better off calling a plumber you come and fix your TV.
