"one neighbor shot off his rifle"

He actually shot his shotgun in "preparation for dove season" which starts Sept 1st. I went and shot a box of clay Sunday. If it were me living there I would have all my buddies over for a skeet shooting party.


I know you did not say or imply this but I think it is funny how big this story got blown up when shooting guns is such a common occurrence here. I grew up in Comanche and Bridgeport TX which are out in the sticks and shooting shotguns and rifles at a country home (outside the city limits) is an everyday event.

I live in MA and we are not allowed to shoot anything, anywhere, anytime! Of course, if my last name was kerry or kennedy I'm sure I'd get away with shooting my shotgun off in the backyard!
