Well, since I was born and mostly raised here :) I see another side of New Orleans, beyond the el tourista areas. But, You cannot find any decent BBQ!
Louisiana is #1 when it comes to Cajun food (my favorite) I've tried Cajun food in other states, but alas, it's Cajun in name only. Now Texas, I think of Texas when I think of BBQ.
I do all the barbecuing in our house. Hubby just likes to sit back and smell it cooking, then scarf it down. :-)
