Where in Detroit did you grow up?

When i lived in Detroit it was near 7 Mile and Hayes (Rochelle), we moved to Roseville/Fraser and I lived there until I was 21 when I married and moved up to Lake City. Both of my parents grew up in Detroit and I remember how it would break my mom's heart to watch that city decay. My father continued to work in Detroit until he retired. I remember very well (even though i was young) the Detroit riots. My husband is from Royal Oak and we both love living in northern Michigan!
