this is through-the-looking-glass stuff. this bastard wanted her put down, claiming she had no sensation of what was happening to her - - but now he wants to milk the caregivers for not treating this "vegetable" well? if they really treated her like vegetable, maybe it's because that's what he said she was?
or is he bringing suit because they DID treat her and he wanted her to die, THEN?
I've read this three times and I think you're right. It sounds like he's suing because they treated her when he wanted her dead. Either that or I'm reading it all wrong.
either way he is a snake of the lowest order and deserves shunning by society AFTER we take away all the money he's made over her.
I still say he caused her first injury.
From what I've read, MS had a DNR and thinks because she was treated for infections that the DNR was ignored. Medical treatment isn't resuscitation.
Judge George Greed? Freudian slip on the writers part? lol

How I wish this poor excuse for a human being would overplay his hand with his greed in the pursuit of money. I hope, if he does bring suit, it backfires on him and proves to the world once and for all that he, George Felos, and George Greer committed a crime when they orchestrated the death of Terri Shiavo.
That does seem to be what he is claiming.....
I don't understand that. He was told it was illegal not to treat her for the UTI or bladder infection, whatever it was, years before. Is he dumb enough to think that changed? It seems like there has to be more to this or this attorney wouldn't have taken it. A DNR doesn't cover treatable illness.

I think you're right about that too!
Who knows for sure? This is Florida, after all.
If a simple feeding is considered life support in FL then Hemodialysis patients for sure should be thinking about moving. (one example only, others exist)
But, I will be surprised if Mikey or his lawyer makes a dime off this.
I was in Florida in April for my Mom. She had a DNR but was still treated with antibiotics etc if needed. It was explained that if her heart stopped or she had a stroke, she wouldn't be resuscitated but that's all it covered.. That's why I don't understand this.
It makes no sense...perhaps Greer gave him special rights that included witholding ANY treatment.
Or, more than likely, the reporter is just speculating.
DNR means no chest compressions or defib. It doesn't mean do not treat. (Maybe Schiavo thinks he can get the definition of DNR changed, too.)
either way he is a snake of the lowest order and deserves shunning by society
Instead, he's receiving awards. This is some world we've got set up here...
Actually another article I read on FR said MS went to court to stop treatment and the judge denied his petition. So, how can he sue? He must think he's special as you said.
THAT is entirely possible!
