Outstanding review, thanks for posting this. I believe this film will rank among the all-time great war pictures, also one of the few films that isn't a let-down after reading the book (Ghost Soldiers).

I couldn't agree more. The only advantage the book has over the movie is that I believe the characters are more developed in the book. Other than that, the movie more than did the heroic story justice. A very rare feat indeed.
