Let's not exaggerate. As much as I dislike the way it's done, Israel has no interest in the garbage dump called Gaza. Moving 8000 is no big deal, even if I sympathise with their ordeal.
Judea and Samaria is another story.
Have you ever been to Gush Katif? There are some beautiful pics available to look at. All the areas I've seen are beautiful. If that is a "garbage dump", then diamonds don't sparkle and shine in the daylight. ;-)
Gaza is the appetizer. Judea and Samaria, the entree.

Today starts something much worse.
I tend to agree, but the idea of Gaza becoming a "supernest" for terrorists is pretty frightening. Twenty years ago, I was totally in favor of cutting Gaza loose. I'm still sort of favoring it, but my heart (and mind) is divided.
