Lupe Moreno is a true American.
"Lupe Moreno knows the immigrant struggle. She has lived all her life in Santa Ana, a gateway community for Mexican immigrants."
2 sentences...and already the BS is piled high. No mention of the illegality of these
immigrants".

LA Times - hard to believe.
Great article. Another great site you might like is http://www.diversityalliance.org
Knowing the L.A. Times, it's a setup so they can begin running some "Uncle Tom" editorials over the next little while.
Oh Please!
As I have posted before .
Most of my Hispanic neighbors are against any kind of amnesty or illegal immigration.
They are extremely pissed with politicians who want to give away for free what they had to earn.
They are also worried that many politically correct politicians are ignorant of what bad affects illegal immigration has on the USA.
That the issue has even come to be framed in such a way by anyone just bothers me. There's nothing racist about maintaining your national integrity.
-----
Exactly and there are those here that call you "racist" for even bringing up the subject of what this gigantic disaster is doing to America. Only illegals and their biased supporters will rationalize the destruction of our borders, our soverignty, our demographics, the mockery being made of U.S. citizenship, the legal double-standard, the rape of the U.S. citizen tax payers to fund this travesty, and the ignoring of the Constitutional duties of Washington to protect our soverign borders ----- and that goes all the way to the White House.
This isn't as new as the LA Times would have us believe.
A quick glance at the Alamo defenders' roll shows people with names like Carlos Espalier, Gregorio Esparza, Antonio Fuentes, Jose Maria Guerrero, Jose Toribio Losoya and Andres Nava; I assume the LA Times would have us believe that these are all non-Latino Anglo names....
It is not now and has never been about Latino v. Anglo. It's about defending your homeland from invaders that want it.
"Most of my Hispanic neighbors are against any kind of amnesty or illegal immigration."
That seems to be true of many American Hispanics who are here legally. I used to work with a guy who's parents came to Michigan to work in the war industry. He used to buddy up to the illegals and gather information then turn them in.
The fox guarding the hen house
I disagree.
Of course the fox would disagree.
Never mind....
Some Latinos are strongly opposed to crossing the border illegally.
Would the L.A. Times care to assign a number value on just how many "some" is? (Rhetorical question.)
