If you say so:) My month in Tx, was July in San Antonio, and I wilted. The locals liked to kid me with, "This is nothing, you should be in Houston." I don't know how you do it.
You do what you have to.
Imagine working in a Texas machine shop.
Imagine working next to a machine that's spitting out hot metal and the blower on the motors isn't working as well as it should.
Then you have to change out the light bulbs on the ceiling at four in the afternoon.
Then tell your kid that it was 130 degrees in some spots. He then asks if you had to work in body armor, helmet and carrying a SAW with 600 rounds of ammo including a forty pound pack.
Then you realize how lucky you have it.
Check his picture on my profile page. Our troops are amazing and doing an amazing job.
It used to be that people who lived in intemperate climates had a little more common sense than the ones who migrated to the pleasant places... but man, even the midwest is getting kooky. And obviously there's a few nutjobs in Texas now too.
Shooter 2.5 those pix on your profile page are wonderful! He looks awesome. Those guys in uniform make me swoon. I told my hubby I was gonna take a pic of him and put his face on a digital photo of some guy in his bdu's just to see what it would look like. He laughed. < smile >
Was born and raised here, don't know any different. Didn't know what a/c was until I went to college.
