I don't think what he did was illegal, unless he was firing it AT them of course, I just don't think it was a good idea. Yeah, it was a waste of lead. But like I suggested, maybe he thought ahead and used blanks.

I don't think that's going to happen. The grass and the mesquite will welcome the moisture. That area is pretty dry most of the time.

I was over at democraticunderground, and saw some photos of the events.. ONE WAS A SIGN STATING: George W. Bush Does Not Live Here.. This was next to a no trespassing sign.
I think the peacenicks are starting to rub local residents the wrong way. The author might have parked on his property? I suspect the patience level is getting lower.
Secret Service got involved just to check out the gunshot, determining if it was a shotgun or rifle..
