Another Detail The 9/11 Commission Seems To Have Missed
Captain's Quarters ^ | August 12, 2005

Germany has long been known as one of the primary logistical areas for the 9/11 attacks. Mohammed Atta and several of the 9/11 hijackers spent considerable time in Hamburg especially during the recruitment and research effort in 1999 and 2000 before coming to the United States to begin the actual work of preparing the attacks. The 9/11 report contains 75 references to Germany, most of them involving Atta and his team; a search on Hamburg generates 90 hits. Three of the four pilots came from the Hamburg cell (page 242).

With all of these references to Germany and Hamburg, the 9/11 Commission oddly failed to include a published report from March 2001 in a Parisian Arabic newspaper, Al-Watan Al-Arabi, about the arrest of two suspected Iraqi spies :

The arrests came in the wake of reports that Iraq was reorganizing the external branches of its intelligence service and that it had drawn up a plan to strike at US interests around the world through a network of alliances with extremist fundamentalist parties.

The most serious report contained information that Iraq and Osama bin Ladin were working together. German authorities were surprised by the arrest of the two Iraqi agents...by chance and uncovered what they considered to be serious indications of cooperation between Iraq and bin Ladin. The matter was considered so important that a special team of CIA and FBI agents was sent to Germany to interrogate the two Iraqi spies.

Not one word of this gets addressed in the final Commission report, as far as I can tell.

The CIA apparently knew something about this; why didn't it come out during the hearings? This looks like a very strange coincidence, that the Germans found such an extensive Iraqi espionage ring inside their borders...

They also don't want us to know about the link to OKC.

I agree.

When Iraq + Al Qaeda = 9-11, then Iraq = OKC will become known.

The "9/11 Commission" was long ago dismissed as a laughingstock....What a colossal waste of taxpayer money, just to pander.

The 9-11 Commission was reminiscent of a Stalinist era show trial. It was all for propaganda and a cover up for the obvious (Clinton).

"Hard to believe that the Sons of Liberty came from this state."

COL JOHN DURKEE was on of the sons of liberty a revolutionary war hero who's father, William was an Irish Slave of Cromwalls. Durkee immigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony and in fact may have been the 1st Irishman to settle in the Colony (Yes that's right Durkee's before Kennedy's). He arrived on Nov. 9, 1663 as the indentured servant of Thomas Bishop. I am one Texan that would love to visit the area my ancestor 12 generations back fought so gallantly for.

I've been wondering about something, maybe you can answer me.

Saddam's man who provided him with tons of the chemical Thiodiglycol, ie mustard gas, was supposed to go on trial in the Netherlands, and some judge let him go in Jan , have you heard anything?

His name is Frans van Anraat. He fled to Baghdad and lived for 14 years under the name of Faris Mansoor Rashid al-Bazas.

Upon the US invasion he fled to Syria, I wonder how he got in, with who, and with what?

Can you tell me anything about him?

I don't know about the AD but it's pretty common knowledge
that Atta entered the US from Prague the first instance
we think we Know about.

If he came IN through Prague why this denial of any other
visits there?

There has been a cabal within the CIA who wants to diminish this administration. The CIA has said that Atta couldn't have been in Prague in 4/01 because his cell phone was used here in the states during that time.

He could have easily left his cell with someone else and certainly does not prove he wasn't in Prague.

Czech intelligence has always stood by their reporting that Atta met with an Iraqi government official in 4/01.

9/11 has the smell of Saddam all over it. There are just too many tantalizing pieces, like the news mentioned here, for him not to have been involved. Also, let us all remember that really skilled criminals, like Saddam, always make frequently effective efforts to cover their tracks. For example, although every histrian who's studied the St. Valentine's Day Massacre believes Al Capone directed it and was fully responsible for it, nobody ever found enough evidence to get him indicted for it.

Perfectly reasonable thing to do if he wanted to appear to be in Florida when he was actually (and hoped to be secretly) in Prague to meet with one of Saddam's agents for the final planning of 9/11. That could also explain where the remarkably well weaponized anthrax came from that was disseminated immediately afer 9/11. After all, what entity other than a government (Iraq's) with proper, secure laboratory facilities could have manufactured such a virulent agent without accidentally infecting many more people?

I'm sure that you... AND your ancestors... would be very disappointed.
