We never get to call Islam the enemy. At some point if AQ succeeds, we get to call Sunni Islam the enemy. But at that point the Shi'ites (Iran included) will be our allies, since Shi'ites regard the Caliphate, which AQ seeks to revive as illegitimate usurpers, and Sunnis, who regard the caliphs as Mohammeds successors regard Shi'ites as heretics and almost crypto-Christians.
