"I feel so much compassion for those who lost a loved one"

I do too, with the exception of Cindy Sheehan. Agree about Gregg Palkot- outstanding. I wish they'd have many more specials like this.

Cindy? ? ? Who? ? ? Never mind. . .
I remember watching Palkot when this was going on. Just, wow. Amazing men, all!
Hubby and I were musing; is this where one of our men got into trouble over shooting a guy that "looked dead", then moved and then WAS dead?

I remember it well!

The ultimate mutual recognition of and reverence for an inescapable reality in RVN GI lexicon.

I am taking condolences for Cpl Shane Kielion. I live in Denver but will be driving out to Omaha to present the mother with the book that MOMs of Marines have contributed throughout the world.

If anyone wishes to send a condolence to be included in this book, you do not need to be a MOM, I will include it so that they can see that what their son was doing affected everyone and is appreciated.

I am sorry I missed it. Have you found out if it will be replayed? Anyone know Oliver North's or Sean Hannity's contact information? They are two of the greatest American Troop supporters in the Mass Media. If they know there is interest, maybe they can get it shown again.

I watched the show, and it brought a question to my mind that I wonder if any of you might be able to answer.

Our military knew this town was riddled with terrorists and ammunition. The citizens of the town had been told to leave, and most did.

Why did the military take the chance of losing ANY of those wonderful men? Why couldn't we have just blown up the whole town? Why did they have to go house to house, taking the chance of getting shot in the face?

I realize that some of our guys get killed in war, but watching the stories of these individuals, and the pain of those left behind, just made me wonder why they chose this path with this town.

I also realize the military has much more information than I have, and to second guess their decisions probably is an idiotic thing to do. It just seems to be a waste to sacrifice our guys just to save the town.

What am I missing?

weeping mess.

they showed this sunday and it is soooooo powerful.
the way they edited it is kind of evil. just as soon as you have stiffled your tears and your eyes dry a bit they hit you with another bleary eyed episode. about every ten minutes or so for 2 hours. very draining.

what heros those men and thier familys are
