"Company of Heroes" Ive been covering the war in Iraq for nearly two and a half years, going along with U.S. soldiers and Marines as they hunt for insurgents, knock down doors, get caught in firefights, and dodge roadside bombs. But I realized in the last couple of months that Id only been covering part of the war, the part you see on TV most of the time.
Theres this other huge part of the war you rarely get to see, but a part thats just as, if not more so, important. Its the huge hunk of personal struggle that goes along with that fighting. Kind of like an iceberg with the soldiering above the waters surface and all the emotions and feelings below.
Im referring to the husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, family and friends of servicemen and women who are waiting at home, hoping their loved ones make it through their tour of duty. When the troops come home they help them to live with sometimes horrific memories, sometimes horrific injuries, or, worse than that, these families have to live with terrible, final losses.

I saw this with Greg Kelly, and it was EXCELLENT.
"Im referring to the husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, family and friends of servicemen and women who are waiting at home, hoping their loved ones make it through their tour of duty."
I'm so very proud of our men and women. When my own son came home, and we met him at Camp Pendleton, when it was my turn to hug him, I cried like child because of all the tension of my knowing his every day experiences in Ramadi.
I was so glad he came hom safe.
Yes, we family members are under tension, but it's nothing compared to what our Marines and soldiers are going through.
God bless them all.
(I have not served. My tagline honors my son and my cousin.)
"Johnnie, get your gun, get your gun, get your gun,
Take it on the run, on the run, on the run,
Hear them calling you and me, ev'ry son of liberty
Hurry right away, no delay, go today
Make your Daddy glad to have had such a lad,
Tell your sweetheart not to pine, to be proud her boy's in line
Over there, over there!
Send the word, send the word, over there!
That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming,
The drums rum-tumming ev'rywhere!
So prepare, say a prayer, send the word, send the word to beware!
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back 'til it's over Over There!
Johnnie, get your gun, get your gun, get your gun,
Johnnie show the Hun you're a son of a gun!
Hoist the flag and let her fly,
Yankee Doodle do or die
Pack your little kit, show your grit, do your bit
Yankees to the ranks from the towns and the tanks
Make your mother proud of you and the old Red White and Blue
Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word, over there!
That the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming,
The drums rum-tumming ev'ry where
So prepare, say a prayer, send the word, send the word to beware
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back 'til it's over Over There!"

"The most dangerous weapon in the world is a Marine with his rifle"
Actually it was General Black Jack Pershing, U.S. Army who said
"The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle."
"I have not served. My tagline honors my son and my cousin"
Quite the contrary, you are serving in the Marine Corps family.
Welcome! And tell your son and your cousin "Thank you for their service!"
Semper Fi,
Kelly
Thank you, Kelly. God bless you.
And we knew it was ole Black Jack. My son drilled his boot camp Marine Corps history into me during his boot leave.
I thought soldiers were only allowed to make news if they died, 'screwed up', or had a complaint.
Wait, that's the MSM reporting. The daily 'DEAD FAILURE' reports about our military men and women.
I look forward to watching some truth on Fox tonight.
I saw some of his reports from Iraq,he is one tuff guy, fragments don't bother him,he just keeps on ticking!!!!!!!
Well I'm glad Fox is producing this program.
Anybody else and we'd probably be watching 2 hours of Leftist antiwar propaganda.
Semper Fi,
Kelly
It's too bad there is nothing to win. There is no organized "ISLAM" to make this announcement: --"OK--We'll stop the bombings".
There is just an endless stream of mind-less Muslims who think that killing people is their road to heaven.
Like a cancer, they have spread throughout the world, threatening people everywhere that they live. Their only "goals" are individual ones---stealing what whey want, killing who they want, and leaving in peace whomever that they want.
Islam is unkind to itself and unkind to others. Any individual human cell can turn up cancerous, and so can any any individual Muslim. No one can stop it. That is why there is no "Moderate Islam".
Islam accepts its fanatics as part of life. We, foolishly try to fight them. We can never win.
Sir,
One of the most important weapons we have is a supportive homefront, of which you are a integral part (as a Marine father). Semper Fidelis.

Actually, Sir. Thank you. You are the leaders who work so hard to keep our young men and women alive and well. We grieve together when we lose one, but we rejoice that our American kids are so well led.
