I'm starting to disagree with this sentiment. I think this woman is genuinely distraught with grief over the loss of her son, to the point of being mentally and emotionally destroyed.

It's the Left wing fringe groups that are handling/managing her who are cravenly exploiting the situation - both her son's death and her emotional problems related to it. She has a bunch of these viscious people surrounding her, reinforcing her own worst thoughts and fears and provoking her into doing what she's doing.

She's just a convienient, easily manipulated tool ... but at some point she's going to say/do something really outrageous (by the MSM's standards) and they'll drop her like the proverbial hot potato.

I agree with you. And people who are grieving (as anyone who has grieved over a very long period may know) are people capable of doing and saying many bizarre things while grieving. It is not a time when a person can always think straight.

I don't think anyone should ever question whether her grief is genuine or not. The right should be in solidarity with her in that she is the mother of a son who served in our nation's military. At the moment she does not see perhaps that she is being used as a political tool by the left because she interprets it as them sharing her grief. That's what the right should do. Not only for her, but for all our sons and daughters in the military who give their lives in these troubled times. We are, after all, one nation under God.

I previously saw her as a grieving mother, but no more. She is first and foremost an anti-war activist. She is free to say whatever she wants, but she should not shroud it under the guise of a grieving mother.

Genuinely distraught or not, she is still exploiting her son's death. Perhaps people here may justify her feelings, but the leftist media has ensured that it is her actions that count now. By her actions, she is making her son's military brothers' (and sisters') lives that much complex, and making this nation that much more ineffective in dealing with the assholes of the planet.

I feel sorry for her, but if she's not certifiable, then she's culpable.

Long before her son died, Cindy was a nasty, virulent LIBERAL! She just didn't get any press.

She cut off most of her family ( her husband;'s side ), because they had voted for President Bush in 2000. That they did so again, in '04, was just too much for her entirely.

Is she being used by the far lefties? Yes, she is. But Cindy is using them as well.
