Yes, there was a documentary about cattle, (I think a joint American and BBC effort) and the Masai tribe was featured prominently throughout, because cattle are considered "wealth" in that society. They don't own the land, but the entire tribe owns the cattle.
The end of the film showed elders of the tribe sitting around a campfire, with one man explaining the planes flying into the Twin Towers. The men were so affected by the tragedy that they sent 20 head of cattle to the City of New York.
