I wish it were a real job...It's volunteer work, in part to get me some local references...but at age 50, I have realized that I should have gone into library science.
Ah well. Come the summer, if everything goes right, I am going to work as a Status/Check-In clerk during fire season...for that I'll get paid.
And I do find the library work relaxing. It's a small technical library, mostly about silvaculture and land management stuff, not a lot of walk in traffic, and blissfully quiet. Me, the computer I'm working on and materials to catalog.
Peaceful. But then, some people might think I'm weird for liking to catalog science articles all day...
I envy you every minute of the time you spend there!
I worked in the school library when I was 13, and have never forgotten it. Now, of course, one needs a degree in "library science" in order to "work" there.
And one thing I had no clue about was that "Filing" is a college class....(where have I been...?)
LOL!
(Think of me when you go there again, OK?)
You are doing what you love, and doing it well!
That's how it's supposed to work.
Well done!
