All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

War! - huh- yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! – huh – yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again y’all
War! – huh – good God
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me…

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

She's supposedly the most popular-if not the most talented, or even witty-left-wing talk radio host in the country.

They broadcast her on the station formerly known as WLIB, the NYC affiliate of Air America.

*retch*

I tried to have a reasonably intelligent, civil discourse with some of the people on her message board the other day-which purports to be a venue for the the free and open exchange of ideas-and had my account promptly suspended for two weeks.

The last comment I posted was a question-posed to one of the moderators-which asked if anyone who dissented from the liberal groupthink that predominated on that board was, by definition, a troll.

I suppose I received my answer, huh?

Hey if you want to do a "protest" song, do it right for God sakes........

"Hey, look yonder, tell me what's that you see
Marching to the fields of Concord?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with a musket in his hand,
Marching to the Concord war, hey marching to the Concord war.

Hey, look yonder, tell me what you see
Marching to the fields of Gettysburg?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with a flintlock in his hand,
Marching to the Gettysburg war, hey marching to the Gettysburg war.

Hey, look yonder, tell me what's that you see
Marching to the fields of Dunkirk?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with a carbine in his hand,
Marching to the Dunkirk war, hey marching to the Dunkirk war.

Hey, look yonder, tell me what you see
Marching to the fields of Korea?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with an M1 in his hand,
Marching to the Korean war, hey marching to the Korean war.

Hey, look yonder, tell me what you see
Marching to the fields of Vietnam?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with an M15,
Marching to the Vietnam war, hey marching to the Vietnam war.

Hey, look yonder, tell me what you see
Marching to the fields of Birmingham?
It looks like Handsome Johnny with his hand rolled in a fist,
Marching to the Birmingham war, hey marching to the Birmingham war.

Hey, it's a long hard road, it's a long hard road,
It's a long hard road, before we'll be free.

Hey, what's the use of singing this song, some of you are not even listening.
Tell me what it is we've got to do: wait for our fields to start glistening,
Wait for the bullets to start whistling.
Here comes a hydrogen bomb, here comes a guided missile,
Here comes a hydrogen bomb: I can almost hear its whistle."

Now THIS is good old classic hippie protest!

:-)

I can't go to places like that. I can't even watch network news anymore. I get so upset and am liable to toss a book through the TV screen. Boyfriend sits there and listens to some of it and laughs at them. I don't know how he does it. I have to leave the room.

Really! Why not? I'd think that'd be the most challenging and environmentally agreeable way to hunt. Win/win.

Maybe. For 10 years I got three fuzzy channels and had a copy of Turner and Hooch. The kid and I watched that movie THOUSANDS of times. When I met the boyfriend, he sat through it twice before he went up on the roof to try and fix the TV anteanna. Now I have a hugh library of movies, three big bookcases full, get 300 channels and still never watch the darn thing. My Science Fiction collection is gigantic, and I really don't care much for Science Fiction. HE likes SciFi and thinks I need educating.

Daughter and I sat down and watched Turner and Hooch a couple weeks ago, though. All seven dogs on the couch. Pizza. Outstanding night in my opinion.

The funniest aspect of her show is that it's predicated almost entirely upon her unremitting criticism of the Bush administration.

As my family was heading towards the Van Deegan Expressway-after dropping off my nephew in the Bronx-I noticed an enormous billboard advertising her show.

The only problem was that the person on the billboard wasn't the host of the show, but rather, President Bush.

I think someone needs to break the news to her that the Duvaliers are not in control of the government, and that this isn't Haiti.

Eventually, President Bush will step down from office, and her show will still blow.

I haven't owned a television set since last December.

I do own a DVD player, in fact it's part of my laptop, but my local branch of the BPL no longer loans out DVD copies of movies.

:(

Well I know that. I was just dismantling that argument before the tree huggers presented it. What do you figure the reason is for no bow hunting in Alabama? I would think that would be the turkey bow hunting capital of the earth.
