Anything I post can be confusing. That's because my brain doesn't function like it should all the time.
I just got a new computer today, and until I transfer the files, I'm having a tough time getting used to things.

What kind of computer did you get? What is your operating system...is that new too? (Mine is ME and it's horrible...I am trying to figure out what to buy for next time....won't be for a while, but I am trying to learn what's best.)

I got a Compaq Presario, all the bells and whistles.
Gee...this has ME, too, but I try very hard not use MSN for anything other than getting to my home page and hotmail. Their MSN email is almost as bad as AOL. It's like a leech...So I delete whatever I never use and the whole system works better.
And as soon as I can I transfer files to CD and clean up the hard drive. I do a de-frag once a month, and also just a general clean-up. I don't have much patience for anything slow, any more, so when things start to bog down, I start to "clean house."

I use hotmail and Yahoo for IM's and email, but I can only use Yahoo for things with lots of graphics, like my brothers' newsletters.
Most of the time, I don't get the emails sent me, even though I have tried to shut off the security. I don't know why they feel that has to be mandatory on every PC. It's a pain in the backside to go through and delete all that excess stuff.
