Only Texans know how desperately HOT it is in Crawford today. Once again, I'd like to ask everyone to say a prayer for the safety of our "more mature" FReepers who are out there - standing in the oven.

BTW, we have thunder moving in so I may log off, BG. (Not to mention I have company and have utterly ignored them these past hours, LOL!)

CNTTXAN indicates temps are in the 90's but with shade and a breeze...and plenty of water. Having been raisd in the North Central Texas area and working my summers in the hay fields...I can say that they are having mild weather and that the good Lord blessed them with a wonderful day for the rally.

Ah, twern't that bad. Some shade, some breeze, some clouds plenty of water. At least we have the sense to wear hats and bring water. Only got really hot a couple of times when the breeze either died or changed direction enough that we were in a wind shadow.
