I'm more interested in the use of the stirling engine here than the solar power aspect. The stirling is just so damn efficient it's a shame it's not used in more applications
Stirling engines are fun to build. They are so simple you can
build one from a tin can! I've built several small stirling engines and am thinking of building one to power a generator to replace my gas generator. They are great engines and we should develop them to their full potential.
