What perturbs me is that the Republicans didn't focus on the Wall and ask questions about it and demand that Gorelick resign, or, better, yet, never permitted her to be seated to begin with.
True, but they would have had to get rid of Ben Veniste, Snell, Rundlet, and Marcus (at a minimum), in addition to Gorelick, in order to have had a chance of an impartial commission.... and who knows how many other 'Rat moles were burrowing into the commission's work, making sure that embarrassing info would never see the light of day or else would be 'framed' in the proper Clintonlite perspective.
I'm beginning to wonder how enmeshed Tom Kean is/was in the political and corrupt nightmare that is New Jersey politics.
Who knows how many staffers on the Republican side were equally committed to a whitewash job? Not because they're in cahoots with corrupt Dems, but because they are all creatures of Washington politics and know that whistleblowers never become Senators, Reps, or Presidents.
My cynicism just keeps growing. :-( Time to go visit Brother Cadfael....
