Delicately usualy means deals with the folks caught red-handed. We need to make an example, of say Gorelick so that others REMEMBER and think twice before repeating this treachery.

20 Things I'd Do If I Were President

1. Take off the gloves in Iraq, and crush the terrorist rebellion with an iron fist. Leave strong hints that American blood is very, very expensive. And that means Kim Jong Ill and the Mad Mullahs need to pay close attention.
2. Special ops operations in Syria and Iran to quell the flow of weapons to said terrorists in #1. Sabatoging the Iranian nuke program should also happen.
3. Hand the Iraqi's a copy of The Constitution, and if they have any questions tell them to RTFM. Make sure you rip out the 16th, 18th, and 21st Amendments.
4. When the rebellion is crushed start to bring troops home. Have the government sponsor gigantic ticker tape parades in every major city in the US to welcome them home. Make sure they never pay taxes again - ever.
5. First bring as many units as possible that are reservists and National Guard from the border states. Put those guys in 3 month rotations on the border in their home states. While this is going on recruit and train a special military division that monitors the border.
6. Recruit the mafia to "take care" of domestic terrorists just like we did with the Nazi border watchers. Have them share information with the DoHS and FBI. Informants come in all shapes and sizes.
7. Let the Israeli's loose on Pali terrorists and suggest that Jordan and Syria give up at least equal amounts of dunes to the Pali's as Israel declared the original '67 borders.
8. Build 3 state of the art military bases in Iraq. One in the North, another outside Baghdad, and one in the South. Staff them with some of the resources we pull out of Germany The rest transfer to the new bases we should build in Poland. Gotta keep an eye on those Ruskies dontyaknow.
9. Pass SS reform complete with private savings accounts.
10. Get behind the Fair Tax 100% and repeal the 16th Amendment.
11. Eliminate the Dept. of Education, OSHA, the EPA, and the IRS (see #10).
12. Make seriously conservative appointments to the SC.
13. Enact legislation that creates a new military space program separate from NASA.
14. Push legislation for term limits on House and Senate seats.
15. Push legislation to enact the line item veto.
16. Fire every single Clinton appointee from any division of government. Replace them with hand picked conservative resources.
17. Enact 50% tariffs on all Chinese imports.
18. Have the government sponsor campaigns for new refineries, nuke plants, and oil exploration. #11 ought to make this easier.
19. Push welfare reform that requires all recipients, unless otherwise handicapped, to work for the government. Got time to lean, got time to clean.
20. Strongly encourage Senate and House Republicans that they'll receive zero support for their re-election from the President directly or from the RNC if they fail to support any of the above actions.

That'd be a good start. Call me a dreamer.

OR He could issue a Presidential order (now instant law, no waiting, thanks to Clinton) To the effect of: IN order to preserve the function of government, All Supreme court nominees will forthwith be given an up or down vote on the floor within 90 days or be automatically confirmed as unanimously passed by the Senate in its constitutinal duty of Advise and Consent.
