Drumbo...if anyone could find this, you guys can. I remember a song from the 60's about flower children--and drugs. I remember part of the song; but I don't know the artist or the name of the song. I wish I could "hum a few bars." LOL!
The verses I remember:
"Your mama said you left about an hour ago.
Your sister said she heard you mention San Francisco.
You think you've found a new world;
But don't you go, girl.
Don't you know, girl?
Oh, Lord, have I lost you
To red, green, yellow and blue."
The music is simple--it has a simple beat.
A guy sings it. His voice is not distinctive.
I looked all over the Internet; but I can't find it. The longer I fail at finding it, the more interesting it becomes! LOL!

Back in my hippie days, I had been trying to learn to play guitar by myself but finally decided to take a class at the JuCo. At the end of the quarter, for my final I played my best song, this one, because I knew all the words. Older lady teacher heard, "Sweet Jesus", thought it was a nice religious song, loved that, and gave me an A.
Wouldn't happen like that today.
