While some may poo-poo these warnings as knee-jerk sorts of actions... I say... If the intel picture is sizing up to look like maybe somebody is going to try something... then get the info out there.
Sometimes just the broadcast might make a cell re-think, reschedule, or cancel a plan. Or at least if there is something to look for, maybe the right person will see something in just enough time to do some good.
Who knows how many of these "alerts" have caused the muzzies to rethink their plans? Probably not a lot, but it would be hard to imagine that they didn't prevent at least a few.
If it only prevented ONE it was well worth it.

I agree, and just wanted to share that our family used the American Hiroshima Threat to up our preparations another notch. Not because I thought America might get nuked last week, was not sure about that, but simply because it had a date attached to the threat, and sometimes a deadline is a powerful thing. We built a bomb shelter in our basement, and put in a few more supplies.
I was interviewed by the Owner of a Mothering web site - many families I am in contact with on the web are in fact preparing for a variety of WMD scenarios, and this interview just showed up on her site this week.
