As I understand it there was no knock and announce. We had that happen out here about 10 years ago and a cop took one in the head over it. Guy walked away scott free. The judge said, a bunch of big guys break in my door, wearing masks and dark clothing and I don't hear "Police, search warrant" I too would go for a gun.
The no-warning have been on tape or some other evidence that liars on the swat team couldn't overcome.
