This woman isn't grieving for her son, she seems delighted that he was killed in Iraq. It's the best thing that could have happened to her, and her "cause".

Her son IS a true hero. How he joined the military after her filling his head with propaganda, is testament to his character. I honor his ultimate sacrifice, made for my, my family's, and my country's safety. I acknowledge and honor him for the sacrifice he made so the Iraqi people no longer have to live under Saddam Huessein's brutal dictatorship; which consisted of among other things, rape and torture of men, women, and children.

I honor him for the sacrifice he made so that one country in the Muslim world can have a chance at living in a democracy , so that Muslims can have a taste of freedom and know another way of life beside oppression.

I honor him, because when he was called to go to Iraq, to serve our country, he didn't run away to Canada, as I'm sure his mother wanted him to. He went and he paid the ultimate price.

It's sad that his mother refuses to honor him, and associates herself with people who hate our military and wish them dead, like Michael Moore, whose film is a propaganda tool to recruit terrorists.

I wonder if she ever called her son a baby killer, "killer of innocent people" because he joined the military?

I would love to sit her down with photo's and film of what went on under Saddam's reign. Let her talk to survivors of Saddam's brutality. Also, many, many, Al Queda terrorists were hiding in Baghdad when Saddam was in charge. But, it would be a waste of time. It's obvious from her statements that she is too far gone to be reasoned with.

She has no respect for her son. If she did, she would take time to find out why he joined the military in the first place. (He joined after 9/11.) Just maybe there is another explanation for what's happening in Iraq, besides what is being fed to her by the radical left, anti-Americans.

You'd think she'd at least acknowledge that he loved this country enough to volunteer to serve. I would to ask her if she thinks her son is proud of what she's doing. I'm sure she'd say "yes he is" because it's all about her.

Too bad she doesn't have enough regard for her son to consider the possibility that he wasn't a stupid , duped, moron/idiot, and also brutal "killer of innocent people" , who died in Iraq for no reason i.e. he was killed while carrying out the evil plans of president Bush.

Maybe he was an honorable person, who made a commitment to serve and protect our nation, followed through on it, and then made the ultimate sacrifice, in an noble cause.

Prayers for her that she is given discernment, wisdom, and understanding about what she is doing, and that she is healed and her spirit restored. Amen

You're absolutely right. She is also dishonoring her son by lying about the circumstances of his enlistment--and re-enlistment.

This was pointed out in the Frontpage article here:

Casey Sheehan joined the Army in 2000, while Clinton was still in office, and before 9/11. There was no war at that time.

And Cindy Sheehan was "devastated" that he joined at that time. She wasn't upset because she was against the Iraq war, she simply didn't want her son joining the military, even when there was no war to be fought.

She opposed her son voluntarily joining the military.

He re-enlisted after the Iraq war's major combat operations ended. I haven't seen a date for his re-enlistment.
