Are you saying that there wasn't a midair collision on 9/11/00 involving an associate of those who later would fly the airplanes into the WTC and Pentagon on 9/11/01?

I think it's crackpot to the extreme to shut the door to the possibility of it being deliberate.
There's no evidence that it was deliberate, and lots of evidence that it was an accident largely caused by the tower. If you like to believe in fairy stories, be my guest. Just don't forget the foil.
PS. It would be more rational to believe that it was the Aztec pilot who did the deliberate act, since he came in at higher speed, from the rear.

If DU's your peer group, to whom you're concerned about looking like a non-conformer, then perhaps you know better than the rest of us.
But from the world of reality, a far different place than DU, I see no reason to hoot about a Saudi citizen who roomed with the 9/11/01 terrorists, had his ID used by the 9/11/01 terrorists to rent the car that they used to get to their last hotel before their 9/11/01 attacks, whose apartment was searched by the FBI, and who crashed his plane into another in mid-air on 9/11/2000...precisely one year to the day before the 4 attacks in 4 hi-jacked aircraft into the WTC and Pentagon (and PA countryside).
This thread lists the government sanitized FAA report of that mid-air plane crash. Subsequent posts in this thread name the Saudi pilot and document that his ID was used by the 9/11/2001 terrorists to rent their car.
Perhaps these are inconvenient facts for you, and therefor you need some way to dismiss them from your fragile mind (e.g. "tin foil"), but you've failed to counter any of the listed, sourced, linked facts in this thread with anything more substantive than your own rants so far...

The FBI investigation was quite a while ago, so I don't know where the 'is' comes from. As I understand it, they cleared his bro' and dropped the case. It WAS a prudent thing for the FBI to do at that time, IMO.
I see no mention of the CIA in #94.
I don't think it's "tinfoil" to wonder if the pilot in this crash was training for 9/11. He was associated with the actual terrorist pilots. His death was precisely one year before his associates piloted airliners into buildings.
It may be purely coincidence, like the winning numbers in the NYC Lotto being 587 the day of the crash of Flt 587. Who knows?

You believe it was a prudent thing for the FBI to investigate the matter with the circumstantial evidence that they observed but it is tin foil for us to wonder over the matter considering the same circumstantial evidence? That would mean that you are totally confident that the government that put post it notes over the face of Atta has decided with certainty that the collision was not deliberate but I don't think you have shown me that they have even determined the matter as settled.
If that is the same tin foil that uncovered the CBS scandle, and other scandles that have been blown open on free republic dispite short sighted, blinder wearing cowards that would rather drink the medias kool aid than risk speaking their own opinion in public....well then I dont mind it showing in my case.
