Good, maybe people will start conserving and develop viable alternative fuels.

Awaiting the rabid "there are no other viable alternatives so let's not even bother looking" FR contingent. You know, "alternative fuels are no cheaper... in the long run it's just as expensive... blah blah blah"

Oh, no the alternative fuels projects ARE viable at these prices and our demand will go down over time if prices don't come down and eventually the Saudis WILL start to eat sand, and then they'll drop prices, and then the alternative projects will hit the wall like they did last time and we'll all start driving hummers again and the wheel goes round and round.
