Well I predicted last year that when the National ID Card is in play, it will be like this :

1. You will have to be at least 18 and scan your national ID card to even enter a fast food establishment (doors will be locked to people on the outside and remain locked to them unless they scan their card). Doors will be unlocked to people inside the establishment.)

2. The menus will be divided into two sections : a Green menu and a Red menu. Green menu items will consist of bottled water, unsweetened decaffeinated iced tea, decaffeinated coffee, vegetarian foods, and soy milk. Red menu items will include all animal-based foods (including milk), ALL soft drinks (even diet sodas), sweetened idea tea (caffeinated and decaffeinated), all caffeinated beverages (including idea tea), and all sugary desserts. You will be required to scan your national ID card at the cash register. Your national ID card will tap into the National Healthcare database to determine what foods you are legally allowed to purchase and consume. People under 18 years of age will only be allowed to choose from the Green menu. If you are determined to be in good health and of legal age, you may choose from either the Green or Red menus (or a combination of both), but Red menu items are taxed at an additional 5% in addition to sales taxes of the overall purchase. If you are determined to be in poor health (or have a family history of disease) or be under 18 years of age, you will only be allowed to choose from the Green menu, and you will also have to pay an additional 5% tax on your purchase in addition to the sales tax. All food will be required to be consumed inside the establishment. No carry-outs allowed. No drive-thrus allowed. Giving Red menu items to anyone under 18 will be considered a federal felony and punishable by a mandatory 10 year prison term in a super-max facility.

Ol' Orwell was 21 years off the mark. I'm sure Howard Weyers is salivating at the possibility of this coming to Michigan so he can fire employees who dare eat Freedom Fries in the privacy of their own homes (monthly cholesterol checks, random inspections of employees' fridges and cupboards for objectionable foods, require all employees to allow the employer to install GPS tracking devices in all their personal vehicles, cameras inside every room of every employees' houses to ensure they're living company-approved healthy lifestyles, and requiring all employees to clock in one hour early for mandatory daily calisthentics [which they will not be paid for]).

Well, I got two fingers for the CSPI and RWJF (left middle finger for CSPI, right middle finger for RWJF). :)

No. ALL meats (red meat, poultry, and pork) will be on the hit list. The ultimate goal of those food nazis is mandatory veganism (the food nazis even want to tax/restrict/ban eggs, milk, and cheese) except for the avocado which will be banned because of the fat content.

They won't just "try to do so". They will eventually succeed. :(

The story does say "voluntary", and that is OK.
I have heard about trans-fats over the last few years, but
really forgot what they are and how to know when you are ingesting them, so I did a Google...

http://www.bantransfats.com/abouttransfat.html

I have very high LDL, but I also have above average HDL.
I refuse to go on drugs to change it, so I am always looking for natural ways to avoid LDL, as I drink my red wine, at least 1 ltr. per day :)
