I thought the party line was that we tried to close the border, but it was impossible? Now they are using blackmail, like "gives us this amnesty for illegal aliens, or we leave the border unsealed, and when the Al Qaeda nuke goes off we will blame you!" "Open borders are secure borders" in new-speak.
