From the NY Slimes:

The Sept. 11 commission was warned by a uniformed military officer 10 days before issuing its final report that the account would be incomplete without reference to what he described as a secret military operation that by the summer of 2000 had identified as a potential threat the member of Al Qaeda who would lead the attacks more than a year later, commission officials said on Wednesday.

The officials said that the information had not been included in the report because aspects of the officer's account had sounded inconsistent with what the commission knew about that Qaeda member, Mohammed Atta, the plot's leader."

OK, it was the NY times since I'm quoting their article. But there you have it ... Gorelick knew about this before the commission issued the report and thus worked with her fellow commissioners to bury the information.

Let's see, who was it that was National Security Council Counterterrorism Coordinator in the fall of 2000?

Why none other than Richard Clarke.

Today's media spin on the story is becoming evident. On three different radio stations this morning, the story was reported as "as secret military group neglected to inform law enforcement". That word was used purposefully to shift the blame to the DoD.

No mention of the Gorelick "wall"

No mention of the dates.

The Clinton butt covering is in full swing. Standby for the blame to be shifted to Republicans because of the impeachment "distraction".
