John,

I am disappointed in your reply. Mrs Sheehan did not arrive in a bus (the word is not capitalized)with people flipping 'birds' to on lookers. Nor did she ever say that her encounter with Pres Bush was sincere. She described the President as abrasive and distant in her first interview after meeting him and has never waivered. She is not (or says she is not a member of MoveOn) but remains a sincere person with a valid point about the Iraq war. Please do not make things up. If you like the war sign up for the Army and go to Iraq to fight. You would do well to serve your country that way.

You would do well to actually be informed rather than trolling FR.
;-)
But hey, DU hasn't had any good trolls in awhile.

Yes, she DID say it was sincere.

In June of 2004, in an interview with David Henson of the Vacaville Reporter, Cindy discussed the meeting saying the following:

“...Pat [her husband] noted that Bush wasn't stumping for votes or trying to gain a political edge for the upcoming election
"We have a lot of respect for the office of the president, and I have a new respect for him because he was sincere and he didn't have to take the time to meet with us."
Sincerity was something Cindy had hoped to find in the meeting. Shortly after Casey died, Bush sent the family a form letter expressing his condolences, and Cindy said she felt it was an impersonal gesture.
"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," Cindy said after their meeting. "I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."
The meeting didn't last long, but in their time with Bush,Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son's sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith... For a moment, life returned to the way it was before Casey died. They laughed, joked and bickered playfully as they briefly toured Seattle. For the first time in 11 weeks, they felt whole again.
"That was the gift the president gave us, the gift of happiness, of being together," Cindy said.”

Read the interview she gave with her hometown paper she did a complete 180 on Bush. She is lying. She did arrive on a bus and you can see images from yahoo of pink code and hippies giving the middle finger.

I am sick and tired of her with the israel fear mongering. I can't stand her and the groups she is associated with. She has no class she is an adult and is shows up at someone's private residence in an impeachment bus, screaming chickenhawk and saying enlist the twins and then she expects him to invite her in her house after she lied about their first encounter. Did she serve? No she didn't.

She supports groups that blamed 9/11 on america and have terrorist connections.
