HOWEVER, I just heard on KFI 640AM in Los Angeles that the John Ziegler show (7-10pm) & KFI are dispatching one of their reporters, Leah Brandon, to cover the event for them tomorrow night. Further, KFI will have a "clean feed" from the event so, according to Ziegler, we should expect some of it on his show tomorrow night.
Ask East Germany and North Korea about being able to control the flow of people. It *can* be done, we just lack the political will to even make the most minimal effort.
"Political Human Sacrifice" bump!
Neither sealed their borders.
North Korea only sealed the DMZ. How many troops per mile does that average, 50,000? Japanese agents still infiltrate North Korea at will from sea. North Koreans cross back and forth into China constantly.
East Germany only sealed half of Berlin.
Our wet and dry border is over a hundred thousand miles. For almost two years I have been challenging the anti-illegals to produce just one scholarly study showing that it is feasible to seal our border. No one has even made a single proffer.
Your "belief" that it can be done just doesn't cut it. Smugglers would go so far as to use submarines if they needed.
"Police in Colombia say they have found a half-built submarine in a warehouse in a suburb of the capital Bogota. This is huge - we're talking about being able to load up to 200 tonnes of cocaine in this submarine
It's a crying shame you won't be able to reduce your labor costs.
"I feel your pain." -- BJ Clintoon
stay safe out there BUMP
I'm going to be there.
If I can solve a transportation problem tomorrow I'll be there.
Incorrect. The wet and dry border around the perimeter of the United States is just under 20,000 miles.
While tunnels do happen (they happen with some regularity here in San Diego), and they do sew people inside van seats, stuff them into dashboards and so forth you cannot be saying the onslaught cannot be rendered down to a trickle.
Will it every be 100% contained? No, that's not realistic. But you can do a HELL of a lot better than couple strings of razor wire in the midst of no where. The most extreme effort would be to move to a Berlin Wall or DMZ along the Southern Border. We should cut off the wiring of money to Mexico and prosecute those who aide these criminals in sending millions of dollars 'back home' to pay for family members to come to El Norte. We've just now learning about companies who are financing home buying for illegals!
And you mention Operation Gatekeeper as a "failure" since it pushed the problem into the high desert, caused tunnels to be dug and it happened that two key areas were blocked by environmentalists. One finally got extended and the other is finally to be closed after Congressional action this year.
I have a feeling you are dismissive of the threat and trouble that criminal migrants are causing. Have you swallowed the Big Lie that these folks are just hard working, wanting to get ahead for their families and only taking jobs Americans won't do?
It's costing billions in services. Much of California's violent crime can be traced to illegals and Hispanic gang activity. Many live in "environmentally sensitive" canyon areas and can't be removed because of endless red tape. They come to our home, walk our neighborhood asking, "Trabajo?" We know Al Queda is working with the M-13 gang members in El Salvador who have a strong presence in Los Angeles.
They're not doing work American's *won't* do but they will do work American's won't do for nothing wages. The more that come the more pressure there is on low wages and no benefits. We have no serious effort to punish repeat illegal hire offenders among business. If these folks are made into legal workers like Bush wants, the Left will insist they get health care, social security, "living wage" and the whole socialist utopia of freebies which will squeeze the lower middle class and create an entire segregated class which does not share our language, our political culture, our humanist values.
I could go on but I'm sure you know the reality and have decided to throw your hands up in the air or you're one of the bottom-line worshippers looking for a slave workforce.
Do you have any solutions that don't involve wholesale integration of Mexico, Central and South Americas into the United States?
Protect our borders and coastlines from all foreign invaders!
Be Ever Vigilant!
Minutemen Patriots ~ Bump!
This is typical thinking among many of the Buchanan/Tancredo anti-illegals type. Does this comport with your concept of Christianity? Would you expect your preacher to say something like this from the pulpit?
Have you ever asked yourself what President Bush means when he says that family values don't stop at the border? Does your religion stop at the border or consult government regulations to define who is your neighbor? Are migrant laborers children of a lessor God?
You too?
Many illegals come to the flathead valley in the summer, to pick cherries. Is there a number to report illegal aliens?
Me too what?
Wish I could be there but I'm starting my mini vacation this afternoon. Rodger Hedgecock is a great speaker. For those against illegal immigration this should be a show stopper.
As opposed to the non-Buchanan/Tancredo anti-illegals type, which includes the majority of Americans.
