Despite the fact that they were anticipating 12,000 attendees, apparently some 8,000 DID show up. So why did less than a hundred of those actually pay for their tickets? (And dont' get me started on $70,000 worth of food that was THROWN IN THE TRASH. What, there are no hungry people or nearby schools that would have loved to have a surprise banquet?) Be aware, this was NOT the NAACP. This was someone throwing a party at the same time the NAACP would be in town, hoping to entice some of the convention goers to attend.
