Pirro has charisma and is extraordinarily articulate. I'm not a New Yorker, but I'll take another Republican Senate seat to get closer to a filibuster-proof majority, even if she is a bit liberal.

My sense is that this lady will connect well with New York voters. It will be fun watching Hillary squirm to figure out which way to go next. I wouldn't be surprised to see her decide not to run for re-election as senator, and spend all her shekels on a run for the White House instead.

articulate? Watch her on the campaign. Talking about prosecuting bad guys is one thing, not having answers for reporters on tax policy, spending policy, second amendment rights issues - where she has described herself as both for second amendment rights and against them on the same day, just like Partial Birth Abortion. That is real articulate

Wouldn't that be funny. She should get beat up pretty good if she runs. I think she will be weakened some if she pulls out too.

I think so. In time, she will be realized as more-or-less a tough cookie who will go to the mat fighting for New York. Having another woman opposite Hillary! will neutralize her lockdown claim to womens' interests to some degree (especially since Pirro has been championing womens' causes for decades now).

Also, as it was mentioned yesterday on another thread, don't underestimate ethnic politics in New York. The Catholic and Italian blocs in NYC are fairly large in some areas, and they vote.

I can't say if she'd win or not at this stage, but at the very least I think she'd give Hillary! some good jousts.
