The email is from Cherie Quarterolo, who is speaking for the family and is Casey Sheehan's godmother. The email, with the statement contained, follows:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish. Thanks – Cherie
In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue:
Sheehan Family Statement:
The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

I would love to see some confirmation of Cherie Quarterolo--that she is in fact what she claims.
I hope it's true. It wouldn't surprise me. It just seems like a very backdoor way to do things. And typical of the kind of stunt some DU-er might try to pull.
Of course if it turns out to be legit, the MSM will ignore it anyway. Look at how they got off the Rove story once it began to go south for them.
They are only interested in hurting the President, the military, conservatives, the GOP, the country, Western Civilization--in that order. They will report nothing that doesn't advance that mission.
Cindy Sheehan has really burned all of the bridges to her family and friends, for the spotlight and 15 minutes of fame. When this is over, she'll be left with nothing at all, but withered news clippings and her diary. Once the left has used her, they'll abandon her.
